چکیده

Agricultural productivity was negatively impacted by low soil fertility and uneven fertilizer application during crop cultivation in Ethiopia. Because of this, important crops frequently respond to applications significantly below their achievable potential yields. This study carried out determine the most sorghum yield-limiting nutrients Raya Kobo area Amhara Region 2020/21 season. Sorghum variety Girana-One used as test crop. Control, NPS, PSBZn, NPBZn, NSBZn, NPSB, NPSZn, NPSBZn, recommended NP, NPSKBZn were treatments. Three replications experiment a randomized complete block design. Before treatment application, composite sample collected at depth 0–20 cm soil’s physicochemical properties. To evaluate N P uptakes, samples stalk grain collected. SAS software analyze data. Results showed that, NPKSZnB produced considerably greater yield (4620 kg·ha−1), whereas control omitted plots lowest yields (2759 kg·ha−1) 2805 kg·ha−1, respectively. Nitrogen missing statistically significant drop compared other plots, there no difference between prescribed NP potassium, sulfur, boron, or zinc plots. The treated with had highest agronomic efficiency for (19.7 kg kg−1·N) (10.6 kg−1 P2O5). Therefore, research development should therefore concentrate on nitrogen achieve best location. Phosphorus might also be keep level within ideal range.

Evaluation of yield stability of forage sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] genotypes using AMMI analysis

Sorghum is an important forage crop used as silage, fresh forage and dry forage. To evaluate the yield stability of 16 genotypes; cultivars, lines and hybrids, of forage sorghum, experiments were conducted using randomized complete block design with three replications during 2016-17 at Karaj, Isfahan, Gorgan, and Mashhad field stations, Iran. The results of combined analysis of variance showed ...

Analysis of grain yield stability and assessment of genotype × environment interaction for grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) genotypes

The interaction of genotype × environment creates complications in yield prediction and is a challenge for agronomy and plant breeding programs. To evaluate grain yield stability and genotype × environment interaction for 18 local and exotic grain sorghum cultivars, lines, and hybrids, a field experiment was conducted using randomized complete block design with three replications in four region...

Effects of ethephon on growth and yield of sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) at different growth stages

There is little information about the effects of ethephon ripening hormone on the yield of sweet sorghum in Thailand. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of ethephon hormone applied at different growth stages of three cultivars of sweet sorghum on its growth and yield. The experiment was conducted from December 2016 to May 2017 at a research plot of the Faculty of Agricultural Te...

Effect of harvest time on morphological traits and yield of dual-purpose sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) promising lines

To assess the productivity potential of dual-purpose (grain-forage) sorghum promising lines at different harvesting times, a field experiment was carried-out using randomized complete block design with three replications in six locations (Karaj, Mashhad, Isfahan, Birjand, Shiraz, and Gorgan) Iran, during 2017 and 2018 growing seasons. Morphological traits and yield of seven dual purpose sorghum...

Effect of Integrated Weed Management on Yield, Quality and Economics of Summer Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.)

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) is one of the globally important cereal crop after wheat, maize, rice and barley. Sorghum is a unique crop among the major cereals and the staple food and fodder crop of the world’s poor and most food-insecure populations, located primarily in the semi-arid tropics. Sorghum is grown on 43.81 million ha area in the world, producing about 65.42 million tonnes grain wi...
